INTRODUCTION
In our rapid changing society there is increasing community awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyles. The resultant good health is characterised by improved quality of life, less sickness and disability, happier personal, family, and social experiences.
Physical education programs should focus on encouraging students to make informed decisions related to health and physical activity and develop positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle.
Programs should include participation in regular and varied physical education experiences, which provide the foundation for a life long commitment to valuing and leading a healthy lifestyle.
